She's been DJ'ing since she was 16. She's been all over the world,
remixed for Madonna and Yoko Ono, released several cd's and has
had a stint on Mtv's the Grind. She's also done parties for Versace,
Patricia Fields, Playboy, David La Chapelle, Bacardi and Diesel! Now
she's taken some time to fill us in on what's as hot as she is!
What do you think we are going to see more of in
2005?
Hopefully more world peace... We can all hope! As far as dance music I
believe the sound will be more deep house in fashion.
What can we expect from you in 2005?
I believe in March The new Queen Latifah movie
"Beauty Parlor" will be released and I have a new song in this
movie called "Tell Me What's Going's On" under the moniker
Shine. So look for that plus more music & fashion........I really
enjoy making music! and I adore the idea of starting my own clothing line this
year. So look out for cool Tees from me.
How does it feel to pretty much be the hottest
DJ on the circuit?
Thank you but I am one of many hot DJ's on the circuit! It's a pleasure to be
able to work with the DJ's I have admired. And if u mean hot in a physical way I
say Meow!!!. LOL!
I see your hosting the WMC DJ Championships down
in Miami are you excited about that?
I am so thrilled to be hosting the 20 year
anniversary of DMC. I have always loved a DJ that can cut it up, this is gonna
be GOOD! it is truely amazing to watch a DJ manipulate music and
turntables.
Are there any artists in particular that you are
interested in working with?
Cyndi Lauper, Gwen Stfani and Joi Cardwell off the top of my head.
What is your favorite place to Spin?
My Favorite place is almost any where but it is very exciting to DJ in NYC
when the club is packed and the people are there to get down!
See Jackie every wednesday night @ 6's & 8's in NYC.
