Well I didn't quite finish yesterday as I got side tracked so I thought I would finish today. Now I just got done telling you about the financials of buying the building and some of what the NYAS should be doing. Now events were and are a major part of the plan. I thought there should be a Film Festival, Concert Series, Fashion Week, and possibly an art fair along with some events on a more regular basis. Obviously if we had a live music venue or a headquarters building we would be doing the associated events with that as well. It could also act as a hub as well.

Ideally something similar should be set up in L.A. and in a somewhat scaled down version Miami as well. Internationally I have pegged London, Paris, and Tokyo. I think that is where the international markets for such idea would be ripe.

To do all NY, LA, and Miami I would say you probably would need the aid of a major entertainment or internet company to the amount of $25 Million to purchase the facilities from the start. I would definitely open maybe one every year or two to start. I would probably say it would be much more beneficial to team with a company like Disney or AOL rather than say someone like Yahoo because of the immediate content production and distribution channels and agreements already in place.

So far I have totally financed this whole thing myself with no stockholders, Venture Capitalists, or investors.

So I shouldn't need to say much more about how we aren't quite all the way there yet.

On the good side where as many companies would have already been millions of dollars in debt or gone through the same in stockholder financed money trying to find an indentitiy and build traffic,

I also have to comment on "The Shield" finally on FX last night. I started watching this show several weeks ago. Maybe about 8 episodes and I've been pretty hooked especially with Nip/Tuck missing from the schedule. The show is in its 3rd season so to say I’m behind is really understating what’s going on. In fact I just found out he was actually guilty of what they have been accusing him of on a rerun on the Spike channel which they just started airing this week. Anyway the season finally was last night and the cast is great but it centers around one cop named Vic and it seems that they had this bad boy cop and they have really painted this guy into a corner, which there is no escape. Forrest Whittaker is also in this show as an Internal Affairs officer chasing him down.  This is really his most unappealing role that I've ever seen him in.

The show has the regular go-rounds... Vic slept with the IA officers wife last week, cops are killing cops, and really one of the funniest scenes and really character divulging is with a hard up cop actually a Detective which I swear you not "receives a less in Pimpology" from a con character called Lawyer Jose Esquire who gets busy with his Harvard educated hooker in the interigation room. Jose teaches him about how to handle this rich woman he has turned into a hooker and  then the cop turns around and literally shows what a student he is and uses that information in perfect form on a young fresh off the vine female cop who is to study under his tutelage. Saying "If I'm going to spend my valuable time with you , you are going to have to make it worth my while".

It just struck me how you have a very good show and from what I've seen they have painted the shows star, Vic,  into a corner which ultimately there seems to be not only no escape from prosecution but also lacks a way for the main character to be morally redeemed from his actions. Though I am sure they will find a way.
