We asked Singer Songwriterl Sofi bonde a few questions
about what to expect in 2005. Come see what she had to say!
NYAS: What do you think we are going to see a lot of in 2005 as in people, music, film and trends?
Sofi: People... who knows there
are always so many new talents popping up every year. I am a big fan of
the Sopranos, but I think we have to wait another year for a new
season. I think U2's new record is great and I can't wait to see them
play again.A lot of trends from the 80's have been big. I think
we're going to see more from bands incorporating the sounds from The
Cure and Blondie. Mixing dance music with rock.. I think we will
hear a lot more of that. Hopefully less fake attitude. I
would love to see artists actually sing their songs on TV. With
my music we have been into mixing new with old, Using analog synths and computers, real drums and drum machines; taking
everything from the last 20 years and throwing it all together.
It works for me and the people I know so we'll see what the rest of the
world has to say.
NYAS : What can we except from you in 2005?
Sofi: February 1st I am releasing
my EP - 'All Up To Me' on ITunes and in small record stores and also
through my website (www.sofibonde.com). The full length album will be
released in Europe this Spring, and in the US soon after. I'll be
playing around NYC with my band and will go out on tour this summer.
I'll also be writing songs for other artists and having
fun! I wish a very good year to everyone with lots of
success, love and peace.
NYAS: What's hot and whats not in 2005?
Sofi: Whats hot is not telling people whats hot!!
