William Yuan's 3-D Solar Panel
It's been quite a while and i am not really sure i am going to keep this blog active but i have been feeling for a while like I should be doing a blog again. There are so many things I would like to get off my chest since my last update almost 3 years ago.
1) Kudos to me and really everyone. One of my last posts was about global warming and how we should have Intel develop new car batteries to stop the influx of CO2 thereby stopping global warming. Well it looks like someone read my blog because i am happy to report that in a funny way my idea came true. The real fact is that car emissions are not the main source of global warming and in my haste I never researched before i posted so I didn't find out until later that heating oil from homes is the largest cause of global warming. To get to the point William Yuan, a 12 year old boy from Oregon, has developed a new type of three dimensional solar panel which absorbs 500 times more energy than traditional solar panels and 10 times and much as state of the art solar panels.
The real kicker here is that William Yuan is the son of two Intel engineers! Talk about calling that one!
To me this means that if every house that heated with solar panels now replaces them and installs these new panels that they can then power their house and 499 other houses in their neighborhood. Now this might not be a practical equation but theoretically people who install these panels could pump the excess electricity back into their power grid for a profit.
The real global solution here would be to take his technology and combine it with ....

Thought I would make a quick entry here as I am amping up about the new X-Men movie next weekend. I know this is the Davinci Code weekend and I am kind of excited to finally see it being they were allowed to film in several exclusive locations but I've been waiting for the X-Men movies for over 20 years.. I always wondered why they didn't bring them to film earlier given the amount of already produced story lines and the simple amount of content Stan Lee has produced over the last century.. I was always a big fan of cartoons and the X-Men, Hall of Heroes, and the Amazing Spiderman cartoons from my youth while not in depth story telling had such wonderfull characters to work with..
The first two movies seemed to lack the epic battles one would imagine when bringing the comics to the screen. Obviously they felt compelled to tell the back story and give some history on the X-men and how they came together which is really what the first two movies were about.. What makes the X-Men great is the detail and the simple amount of amazing characters to work with and while they have slowly introduced more and more into the storylines throughout the series this is the first one where it really feels like they are staging the wars that are such a part of the comics. Leaving out so many of the characters in favor of a more fluid story line was possibly necessary but I think many fans who have had X-Men on film in there imaginations probably envisioned something a bit more epic in the frist two movies. Anyway I'm excited although the reviews are mixed I think the inclusion of some real favorites including Beast, Phoenix and Juggernaut will make for a great and exciting film. I am really disappointed that they are calling this the last in the series as they finally have most of the characters introduced and a part of the concept and storyline.
Casting is the obvious concern because of the talent and cost of keeping that talent but the comics have tons of exciting storylines that could and should be explored.. Wouldn't you be excited to see the X-Men take on Galaxus with a special appearance by the Silver Surfer.. Think how far the X Universe goes..
The X-Men is about the battle between good and evil and X3 is the movie where the battle begins.. The back story is finally revealed to those people who weren't familiar and now it's time for some action!!

Hi all. Thought I would give you an update real quick. I saw Inside Man
yesterday and I was actually pretty impressed. They haven't been
playing up the fact the Spike Lee directed the film which somewhat
suprised me except that the subject matter on the surface doesn't seem
to be similar to Spike's previous films. Like everyone else is saying
it you can definitely see Spike Lee's influence on the the film
especially in his quick paced portrail of NY. While the film's plot "as
marketed" doesn't have any racial implications , I'll get back to that
in a second, he definitely uses the dialogue between the characters to
show Spike's idea of the present state of NY. As he does so well he
infuses the diverse culture of NY even into the Wall St. area. He's
obviously still somewhat personally affected by the WTC bombing and it
definitely shows in his characters dialogue and body language.
While on the surface there seems to be no racial implications in the
plot once you've seen the film it's not hard to see why Lee chose this
film. I definitely recommend this film. Clive Owen is good and
Jodie Foster does enough to make it fun with the small but undeveloped
role she has. Christopher Plummer also does an excellent job at being
believable as the bank owner in this Spike Lee Joint.

Well I didn't quite finish yesterday as I got side tracked so I thought
I would finish today. Now I just got done telling you about the
financials of buying the building and some of what the NYAS should be
doing. Now events were and are a major part of the plan. I thought
there should be a Film Festival, Concert Series, Fashion Week, and
possibly an art fair along with some events on a more regular basis.
Obviously if we had a live music venue or a headquarters building we
would be doing the associated events with that as well. It could also
act as a hub as well.
Ideally something similar should be set up in L.A. and in a somewhat
scaled down version Miami as well. Internationally I have pegged
London, Paris, and Tokyo. I think that is where the international
markets for such idea would be ripe.
So far I have totally financed this whole thing myself with no stockholders, Venture Capitalists, or investors.

Well I think first I should tell you about what I have in mind here for
the New York Artist Series so this way anyone reading this can get a
better idea of what the concept of the New York Artist Series is. The
New York Artist Series is an Art Gallery, Film & TV Company, Record
Label, and has Marketing and Management Divisions.
As I imagined it and still do the company would have a "Headquarters"
building and it would have several floors housing a live music venue on
the first floor, a recording studio, a film and video editing room, and
art gallery and offices. Possible one more floor housing a TV studio
and photography studio.
Obviously very high tech, state of the art sound recording studio
and film/tv editing room, I should be able to record any live show
playing in the venue and edit live in the editing room from built in
cameras venue as well as any live feed mobile cameras. Burn DVD’ s of
each show or make them available for broadcast.

It's 12:01 am on Tuesday March 21st and today I am starting my
first ever blog. I've thought about it several times over the years and
quite a bit more over the last few weeks. So I thought I would just
jump right in and start. This will be a good place to get quite a few
